Easter will be here Sunday, but what are you going to do until then? We’ve got some ideas, including a cheesy fondue night, live music, and more. Find out how you can take advantage of all that D-FW has to offer this weekend…
Beauty and the Beast: This Disney Broadway production will play at the Winspear Opera House through April 27. After almost 20 years since its premiere, this show contains all the classic songs from the movie that you hold dear, plus seven more you can only hear and see on stage.
Patio Sessions: Every Thursday, continuing tonight, April 18, spend your evening in the Dallas Arts District listening to live music from 5:30-7:30 p.m. brought to you by the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
Fondue Night at Scardello: Is a more detailed description even necessary? For $40 per person you’ll dip your way through an incredible dinner from start to finish.
Texas Rangers Games: Enjoy the great weather forecasted for this weekend and cheer on our team! Friday, April 18, through Sunday, April 20, the Rangers will take on the White Sox. Friday and Saturday’s games are both at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday’s will start at 2:05 p.m.
Billy Joe Shaver: The Black Lillies will open for the country musician, who is well known for his original songs as well as his work with singers like Willie Nelson and Charlie Daniels. The show will take place at The Kessler Friday, April 18.
Fort Worth Opera Festival: As with every April, it’s time for opera to take on Fort Worth. This year Bass Performance Hall will host The Pearl Fishers (playing three times Saturday, April 19, through May2), With Blood, With Ink (playing 10 times Sunday, April 20, through May 10), and Forte (a trio playing Sunday, April 20, only). Dallas Blooms: Take advantage of the lovely weather this weekend and stop by Dallas Blooms. It’s the perfect way to spend a sunny day and you can grab some food and drink at one of the many great local White Rock spots nearby.
Angelika Film Festival: Ok, so this isn’t happening this weekend, but we had to give you a heads up. The 44th annual Angelika Film Festival will run next week from April 22nd to the 27th. It will feature legendary stars and movie’s we’ll never forget. Check out all the details here.
