I know there are many fantastic BBQ joints in Dallas, but one of my favorites is Cattleack Barbecue. Dallas Observer named it the “Best Barbecue Restaurant of 2015.” This month they closed their doors for two weeks so they could expand and remodel. They kept their picnic tables and “backyard barbecue” theme yet expanded into the space next door…now fitting up to 3x the people!
They are located in an industrial park near Midway and Alpha Road in North Dallas. They are only open on Thursday and Fridays, but the owners are considering adding a Saturday once a month.
Some of their traditional items are pulled pork, turkey and beef ribs but then each week there is a special item on the menu. That could be anything from burnt ends to the brisket Que-T Pies. Also, cold beer on the house is available for the asking.
