Historic Dallas High School

These Ghost of Dallas pictures from D Magazine just amaze me. My favorite is the picture of the students in front of Dallas High School. They sure did dress differently! This picture was taken in 1909, more than 100 years ago. The historic school was bought a year ago and underwent some renovations. The plan for it is to become an office building.  The Dallas Landmark Commission and the National Park Service are ensuring the building keeps its historic structure like the ornate molding of books and columns as well as the brick façade on the front of the building.

I wonder how progress is going? Have you driven past lately? It’s a beautiful building with lots of history. More updates on this in the future!
