Euless History

Euless is already considered a great place to live and raise a family, and now, Euless is also a great place to retire. While maintaining our identity and preserving history, Euless is a comfortable, mid-size community with a hometown feel.

FabEuless Green Space – Euless boasts 18 parks with over 600 acres of parkland, three pools, aquatic playground, miles of walking/hiking trails, two amphitheaters and more. The beautiful 18-hole Texas Star Golf Course was recently named one of the Best Courses You Can Playby GolfWeek.  

FabEuless Activities – The Euless Family Life Center is a link to area resources and support agencies, and is a hub of activities that aid in health, well-being and quality of life for all ages. The EFLC includes the brand new Senior Citizen Center, Fitness Center and a Recreation Center and hosts a variety of special events.  

FabEuless History – Historic Heritage Park is home to Euless’ historical attractions including the Fuller House Museum, the Himes Log House and the recently renovated McCormick Barn.

FabEuless Technology – Social and educational opportunities thrive at the Euless Library. Euless has one of the largest libraries in Northeast Tarrant County providing technological and multi-media services along with meeting facilities. Free workshops are offered throughout the year.

FabEulessly Green – A Tree City for the past 20 years, Euless was first in Texas to provide recycling to apartments and has received awards for both composting and recycling programs. New in 2011, the Texas Star Sports Complex will be irrigated with reclaimed water.  

Euless Today

Euless, also known as “Tree City USA”, is a city in north/western Texas near Dallas and Fort Worth. Euless is approximately 20 minutes northwest of Dallas, and twenty five minutes northeast of Fort Worth. Part of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is located within Euless.

Euless is served by many major highways including Interstate 35, Interstate 45, Interstate 20, Interstate 30, S.H. 183, S.H. 360, S.H. 121, and S.H. 114, as well as Amtrak rail service.

Euless is home to an annual Arbor Day celebration that is reputedly the largest Arbor Day celebration anywhere in the world. Additional things to do in and around Euless include:

  • The Dr Pepper StarCenter
  • The Fuller House Museum
  • Himes Log House
  • McCormick Barn
  • The Midway Recreation Center
  • Softball World at Texas Star
  • The Texas Star Golf Course
  • The Texas Star Sports Center
  • Parks and recreation facilities consisting of 16 parks encompassing 605 acres, 24 athletic fields, 2 amphitheaters, 1 public golf course/conference center, 1 recreation center, 3 swimming pools, and 8 tennis courts  

Euless is also situated to provide easy access to all of the entertainment offerings of nearby Arlington, Grand Prairie, Dallas, and Forth Worth.

For sports fans, the Dallas Stars play in Euless at the Dr Pepper StarCenter.
